Medical Center Gets More For Less with TotalCare
 
A Connecticut based pulmonary care center is now realizing significant cost savings and added service by doing nothing more than switching from ‘blocks of time' service to remotely delivered service through NSI TotalCare.

The facility's monthly technology service costs (1-server, 1-firewall, 16-desktops) were approaching $1,000 per month. The service was reactive; every time something needed to be fixed they would call NSI and have a technician come out. It had to break first.

A network assessment by the NSI TotalCare Team made it clear that 75-percent of their issues could be resolved remotely, or avoided completely due to PROACTIVE management of their network devices.

In spite of that report they were still hesitant.

“I was a bit confused and wary about getting involved in the ‘Total Care' package,” said Larry Wasser, M.D. of Associated Pulmonologists of Western Connecticut.

The issue was very simple – could NSI TotalCare actually deliver on its promise?

NSI Customer Service explained everything in detail and Dr. Wasser said, “Any fear I had was completely allayed.”

So, the switch was made from buying blocks of time to TotalCare and the results were immediate.

TotalCare's proactive network monitoring began preventing unnecessary downtime, it's ongoing security management features made sure all systems had the latest updates and at all times they had fast access to remote and phone support, if needed.

How did this affect their monthly costs? The facility now has a fixed monthly fee which saves them about $300 a month in immediate savings.
