| NSI Rewarded for Dedication to Service |
| |
In the August 2006 issue we told you about NSI’s delivery
of a $1.3-million IBM Series p 595 server to the New York City Department of Finance under incredibly
complex circumstances and in a very tight time-frame.
We are proud to report that NSI’s efforts resulted in the agency awarding us additional
hardware and software contracts valued at approximately $9-million.
“It was due to NSI’s performance and tenacity during a very tough bidding process,” according to
a spokesman from the third party firm overseeing the project. The person cannot be identified due to
contractual restrictions.
The 1,800-pound server, its racks, and peripherals had to be shipped from two
different locations within two-weeks of the order and the delivery needed to be carefully
designed to accommodate stringent space and security restrictions at the site.
“NSI was head and shoulders above the other companies involved in terms of their knowledge
of the product lines and standing up for the client’s interests,” the unidentified spokesman
said. “Anybody can be an order taker, but NSI showed me they can take on the things that are
complicated and their people exhibited a tenacity that was truly amazing!” |
