| Casino Goes for Capacity on Demand | ||
NSI is doing exactly that for Mohegan Sun under a $4.3-million deal that takes advantage of IBM’s new “capacity on demand” architecture. We have just delivered four IBM “System i” servers to accommodate the casino’s future growth and we’re upgrading their IBM tape libraries with LPAR (Dynamic Logical Partitioning) virtualization technology for more secure and faster backups. The casino will see a ten-fold increase in processing power and literally be able to “turn-on” additional IT capacity as the operation changes and grows. |
