Regional CPA Firm Better Connected
 
As a growing professional services firm Mahoney Sabol & Company needs the best connections possible between its four offices scattered across central Connecticut.

Enter NSI, which designed a plan to alleviate a variety of connectivity and storage issues.

NSI helped Mahoney Sabol deploy a wide area network connecting their sites and worked with the phone company on faster connections. The NSI configuration team also added Citrix Forum to the communications mix, automatically balancing the loads between servers to keep the information flowing smoothly along with an automatic fail-over to prevent work stoppage in the event of a hardware failure.

"The issue had been things going down all the time," said Kenneth Kron, a partner at Mahoney Sabol & Company. "Now those downtimes are virtually non-existent and obviously we are now more productive."

Mahoney Sabol's data is also now more secure with NSI reconfiguring much of the firm's file storage and instituting a new back-up system with Symantec.

"We're proud of the fact that much of this was accomplished by leveraging Mahoney Sabol's legacy equipment," said Jon Farmer, NSI's Support Specialist and Project Coordinator. One IBM server was sold to create the Citrix Forum. "This was another example of us utilizing our technical expertise to maximum effect for our customers."
