A Growing Problem at Work
Cyberslacking

The term "cyberslacking" is now part of the business manager’s lexicon. It stands for the practice of employees surfing
the Web during work time, which translates to lost productivity.
Last year in a survey of more than 10-thousand workers
by America Online and Salary.com almost 45-percent reported personal Internet use as their number-one distraction at
work. It’s estimated that more than $750-billion is spent each year by employers for time that's wasted on the Web.
At minimum, NSI recommends that you have a written Internet use policy. We can also provide the technology (SonicWall & Silverback) to monitor where and when employees use the Web, as well as to whom they are sending email.
